1. Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing, or using Highlightly, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. What Highlightly Does

Highlightly helps you turn articles, PDFs, documents, pasted text, YouTube transcripts, and article searches into social media graphics, captions, carousels, screenshots, and other visual assets. AI is used to extract and organize source-backed material such as quotes, statistics, hooks, facts, and key points. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving any content before publishing it.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate account information and may not use Highlightly to impersonate others, interfere with the service, or violate applicable laws.

4. Your Content and Source Material

You keep ownership of the content you upload, paste, import, edit, or export. You give Highlightly the limited permission needed to process that material, generate previews, save sessions or brand settings when enabled, and provide the service to you.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to use any source material, logos, images, documents, or other assets you provide. Highlightly does not grant rights to third-party articles, documents, media, or websites.

5. AI Output and Attribution

Highlightly is designed to extract rather than invent source content, but AI and scraping systems can make mistakes. You should verify quotes, statistics, claims, captions, and attribution before publishing. Do not present AI-generated captions or edits as verified source statements unless you have reviewed them.

6. Credits, Plans, and Billing

Some actions use credits, including extraction, document processing, captions, stock image search, carousel generation, screenshot refreshes, and AI graphic generation. Credit costs are shown in the product and may change as the service evolves.

Paid subscriptions are processed by a third-party payment processor. Subscription credits reset monthly and unused credits do not roll over unless a plan explicitly says otherwise. You may cancel from your account settings; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

7. Acceptable Use

Do not use Highlightly to create illegal, abusive, deceptive, infringing, spammy, or harmful content. Do not try to bypass rate limits, authentication, credit checks, payment flows, or service protections. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or create risk for other users.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep Highlightly reliable, but the service is provided as available. Extraction quality and availability can depend on third-party websites, document formats, AI providers, hosting platforms, payment processors, and other services outside our control.

9. Intellectual Property

Highlightly, including its interface, templates, code, product names, and underlying systems, belongs to Highlightly or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except as allowed by law.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

Highlightly is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, publishing mistakes, or third-party claims arising from your use of the service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the product, email, or this page.
