It extracts real quotes, stats, hooks, facts, key points, and insights from the source, then lets you choose templates, apply your brand, edit the copy, and export high-resolution PNGs.

Credits are Highlightly's usage currency. URL extraction costs 4 credits, PDF/DOCX/PPTX processing costs 6, text paste costs 2, article search costs 2, YouTube transcript generation costs 10, captions cost 1, screenshot refresh costs 1, stock image search costs 1, manual carousel generation costs 1, AI carousel generation costs 2, AI graphic generation costs 3, and cached URL hits cost 0. Subscription credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

You can start from a public URL, a PDF, DOCX, or PPTX upload, raw pasted text, an article search query, or a YouTube link. URL and search extraction work best on public pages with readable text. If a site blocks extraction or requires a login, paste the text manually or upload the document instead.

No. Highlightly is built around an anti-slop workflow: extract first, generate second, and keep the source visible. Quotes, stats, facts, and key points should come from the material you provide. Captions and carousel copy may be rewritten for social platforms, so you should review them before publishing.

You can export high-resolution PNGs at a 3x pixel ratio in 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 formats. Exportable assets include overview cards, quote cards, stat graphics, screenshots, document pages, scene templates, carousel slides, and LightboxStudio image edits.

Brand kits store your logo, colors, typography, social handles, watermark, and element toggles. You can apply the full kit or choose exactly which pieces show up, such as logo only, brand colors only, typography only, or watermark only.

Yes. New users start with 20 free credits and do not need a credit card to try the product. The free plan includes 1 brand kit and enough credits to test a few core workflows before choosing a paid plan.

No. Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits from the previous cycle expire and do not carry over.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade from your account settings. Upgrades give you access to the new plan allowance immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you do not lose access mid-period.

Yes. Annual billing is available from the pricing page and saves roughly 20% compared with monthly billing. If annual checkout is unavailable for a plan, monthly billing remains available.

Free includes 1 brand kit and no saved session history. Pro includes 2 brand kits and 10 saved sessions. Creator includes 5 brand kits and 40 saved sessions. Agency includes 20 brand kits and 100 saved sessions. Brand kits sync to your account when you are logged in; paid saved sessions sync through cloud session storage.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Major credit and debit cards are supported, and regional methods may vary by country. Highlightly does not store your full card number.

Highlightly uses a multi-stage pipeline. First, content is fetched, cleaned, and normalized. Then AI analyzes the cleaned source to extract structured material like hooks, quotes, statistics, facts, insights, steps, comparisons, entities, and social post ideas. The app keeps attribution and source context visible so you can review what gets used.

Some websites block automated access, require login, use unusual rendering, or expose very little readable text. Highlightly handles many public pages, but no extractor can guarantee every site. When URL extraction fails, paste the text manually, upload a PDF, or use article search.

Currently, Highlightly is available as a web application only. We are exploring a developer API for programmatic content extraction and graphic generation. If you are interested in API access, reach out to us.

Not yet. Today, Highlightly exports PNG assets and generates captions you can post manually. Direct publishing and scheduling integrations are roadmap items.

We store what is needed to run the product: account information, brand kits, preferences, credit and billing state, and saved sessions when enabled. Large screenshots and page images may stay in browser storage, while eligible session metadata and brand kits can sync through the backend. We do not sell your data.

Highlightly sends source content to AI providers only to perform the actions you request, such as extraction, captions, carousel generation, or graphic generation. We do not sell your content or intentionally use customer source material to train our own models.

Yes. Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Authentication, payment processing, backend authorization, and internal service access all use dedicated security controls. The frontend does not call internal processing services directly.

You can delete saved sessions and brand assets from the product where available. For account-level deletion or privacy requests, contact support@highlightly.com and we will help remove eligible data, subject to legal and billing record requirements.
